Research PhD Studentships

The University invites applications for five competitively awarded fully-funded research studentships, to commence 1 October 2009. Applicants must have (or be about to complete) a relevant degree (at least a 2:1 Honours or a Masters) and should submit a proposal that clearly demonstrates an aptitude for researching a specific topic covered by one of the following themes or areas:
• Performance and Performativity in the Arts - Prof Gary Peters
• Spirituality and Education - Prof Julian Stern
• Participation motivation in sport and its impact on health related behaviour in children and youth - Prof Howard Hall
• Motivational processes associated with multidimensional perfectionism in sport and exercise - Prof Howard Hall
• Practical and Empirical Theology - Dr Andrew Village, within one of the following areas: Cathedral Studies; Attitudes and beliefs of lay Christians; Prejudice, race and religion
